Kartoffeln und Leberwurst – German Song
Percy Spann, farmer and musician from Roadvale, Fassifern Valley, sings and plays (on banjo mandolin) the old German folksong ‘Kartoffeln und Leberwurst (potatoes and liverwurst). Percy sang a number of German songs and played many old German and regional dance tunes on his Club button accordion. Accompanied by Ethel on piano, this couple had played for old-time dances for many decades.
